Come and go as you please

Ideally located at the base of the resort, the new Village is just the start of an exciting journey for Winter Park Resort. Upon its completion, The Village will be a bustling, highly interactive locale with pedestrian-only brick and cobblestone main streets featuring shops, studios and galleries, surrounded by magnificent lodges, tasteful homes and towering mountains. It's a place where locals will feel at home and where visitors will feel like locals.

Key projects under way include improvements to the Ski-Back Trail to take riders from Mary Jane to the Winter Park base, an arrival plaza and a three-level parking structure. Construction is in progress on The Village (slated to open during the 2008-2009 ski season) and The Village Lofts. Housing at Fraser Crossing and Founders Pointe is complete, and new homeowners have moved in. Future phases include a new check-in center, waterfront plaza, Fraser River enhancements and a family swim center.

When all is said and done, the new Village will be nothing short of spectacular - with something for everyone. From your favorite coffee shop, a hearty selection of dining options and a variety of retail shops to private and peaceful neighborhood homes. From exciting tobogganing and tubing hills to a cozy community living room warmed by a roaring fire. And all within walking distance.

On-mountain improvements

We've slated more than $50 million for new improvements, which are already in the works. The new Eagle Wind triple chair provides access to expanded advanced and expert trails on the back side of Parsenn Bowl. The new Panoramic Express - an $8 million detachable six-pack chairlift that takes riders to the top of Parsenn Bowl - was completed at the beginning of the 2007/08 season. It is now North America's highest high-speed six-pack chair, at about 12,060 feet above sea level. The Snoasis remodel means more elbow room for kids in Winter Park's renowned Ski and Ride School. And the Advanced Sales Fulfillment Center in West Portal Station makes it easier to take care of prearranged lift tickets and lessons.

Commercial Core

Popularly known as Denver's playground, Winter Park Resort has grown into a multi-million dollar destination with over one million skiers visiting annually. Intrawest has partnered with the City of Denver to develop the resort into a cherished place that is frequented by Fraser Valley residents, international and national travelers and front-range natives. In addition to the first phase of residential construction, Intrawest has started building a commercial core. The core will contain approximately 14 distinct master planned uses and will provide vibrant experiences for homeowners and guests. The new commercial core development is neighboring the existing Zephyr Mountain Lodge at the base of the resort and is slated to open for ski season 2008-2009.

Commercial Tenants

Intrawest is in the process of selectively choosing tenants to occupy commercial spaces along Parry Peak Way, the future village main street. At Intrawest, we understand that it is important to secure tenants who will provide superior products and services to our guests and Valley residents in order to establish a strong lasting economic environment. Our tenants will be knowledgeable operators who have the passion and drive to succeed in and contribute to a resort community.

Our commercial leasing managers are selectively contacting independent Colorado operators who have made a name for themselves by providing quality product, excellent service and a memorable experience for their guests. If you are a business owner and you believe that you are a fit for our village but have not yet been contacted, please call the Intrawest development office at (303) 352-2996 or email Jessica Flegel at jflegel@intrawest.com. We are seeking concepts that cannot be found in most cities in the U.S.

Did You Know?

Construction of the new high speed six person Panoramic Express chairlift incorporated the use of helicopters and over-snow equipment, all designed to minimize ground disturbance.

In the 2006/07 ski season the resort purchased 400 MW/hr of wind energy credits, enough to power both the Eagle Wind chairlift as well as the Super Gauge Express chairlift.

Home and Garden Television's 2007 Dream Home was located at the base of Mary Jane in the Bridger's Cache Subdivision.
