Steeped in history
Winter Park's history is alive and well today. People still ranch and rodeo here, and the railroad continues to bring travelers and goods through the mountains, just as it did long ago. The resort's authenticity is evident in the individualism of its people, the hard-core enthusiasm of its skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers, and the laid-back atmosphere that keeps the locals here — and keeps visitors coming back.

Winter Park Resort
If you've got a love of the outdoors, you're going to love Winter Park Resort. Enjoy some of the highest average snowfalls in Colorado and some of the most beautiful alpine topography in the summer. The mountain offers a variety of challenging terrain for skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers alike.
On-mountain improvements
We're already putting the more than $50 million slated for new improvements to good use. Advanced and expert skiers and boarders can enjoy new trails on the back side of Parsenn Bowl, accessible via the new Eagle Wind triple chair. The new Panoramic Express - an $8 million detachable six-pack chairlift that takes riders to the top of Parsenn Bowl - was completed at the beginning of the 2007/08 season. It is now North America's highest high-speed six-pack chair, at about 12,060 feet above sea level. While we haven't changed the retro look of Snoasis lodge, kids in the Winter Park Ski and Ride School do have more elbow room at lunchtime. And it's easier than ever to book prearranged lift tickets and lessons at the Advanced Sales Fulfillment Center in West Portal Station at the base of Winter Park.
